State League Finals time - Mens





It's Finals time, Join us at 6pm for the Qualifying Final, tonight Friday 14th at Court 1, ACT Netball Centre - Queanbeyan Men's vs. Canberra Netball Assoc


The Queanbeyan Men's Netball team has experienced a remarkable transformation in the 2023 season, defying the odds and turning their fortunes around. After several challenging years at the bottom of the ladder, the team has emerged as a force to be reckoned with, currently holding first place one the league ladder.

With a new coach, fresh recruits, and a renewed sense of determination, the Queanbeyan mens team have made waves in the ACT competition this year.


Since its inception in 2019, the Queanbeyan Men's Netball team has faced a series of setbacks, consistently finishing at the bottom of the league table. Throughout the years, players such as Thomas Hopkins, Jordan Uhr, Tyler McLean, Andrew Holmes, and Tom McNamara remained committed to the team, despite the challenges they encountered. These individuals displayed incredible resilience and loyalty, providing the foundation for the team's eventual turnaround.


The 2023 season has brought a breath of fresh air to the Queanbeyan Men's Netball team, as a group of talented recruits has joined their ranks. Nathan Hosie, Dennzyl Costa, Tristan Vergano, Sean Gray, and Harry Muir have injected new energy and skill into the team, creating a potent combination of experience and emerging talent. Under the guidance of their new coach, Tsila Solomos, and manager, Skye Harris, the team found a renewed sense of purpose and direction.


The Queanbeyan Men's Netball team experienced a very impressive start to the 2023 season, showcasing their newfound prowess on the court. This confidence continued to grow in the first few rounds of the season however, the team faced a tough challenge in their third match against the formidable Canberra Netball Association. Despite a valiant effort, Queanbeyan suffered a narrow defeat, with the final score standing at 61-54. Nonetheless, this loss only served to fuel their determination to succeed.

Taking advantage of a bye in the following round, the team regrouped and returned stronger than ever. As the team completed the second swing of the round games, they took the win against Canberra Netball in round 8 by only 1 point. This moving the team into top spot on the ladder.

However this Friday nights qualifying has Queanbeyan up against Canberra in what will be a very exciting game.


With their talent, determination, and a united team spirit, the Queanbeyan Men's Netball team is ready to leave a lasting impression on the 2023 season.
